Pending Operations – Operation STAR BURST
Who: all 2, 3 Star and 3 Star Board Cadets attending Annual Camp 10: A, B, C, X, Y, Z Coys and the attached W Coy 1st Battalion the Royal Hampshire & IOW Regt
What: As a member of the 1st Battalion the Royal Hampshire & IOW Regt we have been warned to deploy to the hot country of SALISTAN on operations against the warring factions in Westdahar province (See the scenario and country brief attached).
When: Deployment by RAF transport aircraft C130 and Galaxy from 31 July and 7 August 2010
Where: The country of SALISTAN – about 10 hours flying time to Camp TIGER in Westdahar Province
Administration: Make sure you get briefed by your detachment commanders over the next few weeks when they get their orders. In the meantime get your kit ready as this is going to be a big challenge demanding the very best of your skills.
