Cadet Rolfe Royal Signals

I have been in cadets for nearly a year. I joined cadets due to the fact that I want to go into the Army once I have finished college. The other reason why I joined cadets was to meet new people and to get an idea of what army life would be like.

I really enjoy going to cadets especially annual camp, where we stay in a camp for a week and do all sorts of fun activities like mountain biking and go-karting as well as military training.

The thing I enjoy most about cadets is when we do fieldcraft at our troop. The reason why I like this so much is because we get all muddy and it can be a real laugh.

But cadets is not just about fun and games we also have to work hard and learn new skills. Also we have competition weekends where we are going against different troops and platoons so that we can feel a sense of achievement.

All in all cadets is a great way to meet new people and to learn new skills.

I have been in the army cadets for 18 months now. I joined cadets because I was thinking about going in to the army and thought cadets would give me an idea of what it would be like.

Also cadets looked fun and it’s now something to look forward to every week. I enjoy going to cadets every Tuesday and Thursday also I love going on weekend camps. I have made a lot of friends from joining the cadets.

There is a lot to do and learn at cadets such as shooting, map and compass, Drill and much much more.

Cadets has given me more confidence in everyday life and I am even doing better at school.
