On Wednesday 2nd of June 2010, members of B Company and County HQ travelled up to London to the City guildhall to attend a reception given to Cadet adult instructors and officers from all services as a thank you from the Lord Mayor of London, and to celebrate Cadet 150.
The deputy chief of the defence staff was also present; he reinforced the commitment given by all for the good and benefit of the cadet forces.
From B Company was Maj Wilson, Lt Lee and CSM Morgan, and from County HQ, the RSM, all accompanied by by wives and partners.
HRH the Duke of Edinburgh was in attendance too and Lt Lee and the RSM did manage to get close enough to shake his hand as he asked us what county we represented, the day went well as the weather was excellent too, culminating in a display by a London based cadet band.
The photograph shows HRH sharing a smile with a member of the reception.
