The Demo version of RouteCardMaker on this site gives you an idea of the final product, although you not able to try out the map plotting programme.
The full version is available on CD at a cost of £15 (including postage and packing). This does not include any Ordnance Survey digital maps, although an example is included to show the operation of the graphical interface RouteMaker III.
Full details of the requirements for the Digital Maps are provided and RouteMaker III includes a function to convert digital OS 1:50,000 maps to the format used by the programme.
RouteCardMaker does not need digital maps and can be used with either 1:50,000 or 1:25,000 maps.

Chris Rouse was for a number of years the Training Major responsible for Adult Training at County level in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight ACF. Having taught Map and Compass at detachment level, then at Company level (as Company Training Officer) he realised the need for a programme that would help Adult Instructors build their knowledge of Route Cards, and in so doing improve the teaching of Map and Compass to cadets.
